The sleek tailored pieces come in off-white, blue or gray denim exclusively packaged in a navy box. CASSETTE Ρ L A Y A x NIKE





Since the launch of Cassette Playa aka Carri Mundane’s 2007 Spring/Summer “L.S.I” show, in which a pair of Cassette Playa Air Maxes were spotted, Nike has held a close relationship with the London-based designer. Having seen the Nike Split Windrunner installation at Selfridge’s this year and a pair of Blazer’s for the 2008 Spring/Summer “Future Primitive” show, it was only natural to make this latest project a public release. Hooking up with the Sportswear division, the Cassette Playa x Nike Blazers will be launched this Friday December 12th at the Nike Sportswear 1948 concept store in London. The release will take place between 6 and 11pm with Dover Street Market having a limited run available on Monday December 14th. Additional top Nike accounts worldwide should expect a release soon as well.

Pharrell Williams x Atelier WM Candle Collection



Hooking up during Pharrell Williams' visit to colette Paris, the Atelier WM team created a mold of Pharrell’s popular Vulcan Salute hand gesture, brought to light by Spock, the iconic character of Star Trek fame. The mold was eventually used as a base for a collection of candles featuring a series of commonly used gestures. colette now has the blue Vulcan piece available through their online store as an exclusive to BBC/Ice Cream Stores with a limited run of 200 pieces.

evian x Jean Paul Gautier


French mineral water brand evian will be teaming up with high-end avant-garde fashion label Jean Paul Gautier for limited edition bottled water. This unusual collaboration will come in red, white, or blue in 500ml water bottles with silver bottle caps and feature Jean Paul Gautier’s design on the bottom half of the bottle. If you are a true collector of any sort, you can get yours for 136 yen each but it is only available in Japan starting December 8th.

Having left his own self-titled brand to become creative director of Dunhill, British designer Kim Jones will see a number of his pieces re-release under the brand Kim Jones Archive. The collection will go beyond the re-release of previous styles from collections seen between 2005 and 2008 but offer an updated aesthetic. Much of the collection will keep inline with the theme of mature sportswear which go beyond your conventional sportswear styles. Among the first pieces are the Zip Hoody Rain Jacket in royal blue and navy blue.

Ato Matsumoto SS09 Cow Hide Boot


Thrusted into the limelight thanks largely in part to an appearance on the feet of Kanye West, the Ato Matsumoto Cow Hide Boot has been long overdue for a colorway update. Looking at a March release date, the shoe now boasts a new black/green/purple colorway on the sneaker which has come to be marked by its chunky disposition, Velcro straps and loud tongue.

Inspired by movie badass “Steve McQueen, science fiction, mechanical beauties and the great tradition of French luxury”, Les Ateliers Ruby is a collection of helmets offering a new perspective on visual graphics for helmets. Headed by Jérôme Coste, each helmet features a high-tech engineering process to ensure the utmost protection as well as details including nappa leather lining and metal emblems. “La Pelle Guccissima” is Gucci’s latest luggage line featuring a the prominent use of mature and subdued aesthetics under the influence of some trademark imagery from the Italian fashion house. Full-leather construction features embossed Gucci monograms which is then hand-dyed, polished and treated with wax for special wearing characteristics. The whole collection ranges from Boston bags to little accessories such as travel holders and wallets.

French leather specialists Hermès, renown for their luxurious leather product have hit the designer sneaker market with their own interpretation of a metallic hi-top silhouette. Utilizing some of the world’s rarest materials including crocodile and snake skin, Hermès has been a constant caterer to the celebrity world. Retail $7,600 usd.

P.A.M x Forfex Spaceboots




In a rarely seen foray into footwear, the wild styles of Perks & Mini are seen in a collaborative project with Italian footwear brand Forefex. Blurring the lines of sneaker and winter boot, the chunky silhouette results in the aptly titled Spaceboot name. The raised toebox includes a wide external lacing system with the boot rising above the ankles. Three different colors are set to drop in November with the one boot also featured in a space style print.

COMME des GARCONS x Nike 2008





COMME des GARCONS and Nike prepare for another collaboration on the Dunk High. The visual integrity of the Dunk High is largely changed as the traditional basketball silhouette of the Dunk undergoes a more boot-like profile. The dramatic rise of the toebox and the black leather upper with a large zipper up the center is an appropriate approach for the Japanese brand who has been the subject of much fanfare for their avant grade and innovative styles. The back of the Dunk does offer a glimpse of its former self with the recognizable heel lines and center seam.

Damien Hirst x Levi’s 2008 Collection






Damien Hirst x Levi’s collection has arrived a bit sooner than expected. Tackling Hirst’s common theme of Death, the English contemporary artist creates garments revolving around his love for skulls, spots and tropical butterflies onto timeless pieces from Levi’s. Amongst the collection are essentials garments including t-shirts, denim, knits, scarves and outerwear. The collection carries reasonable price tags compared to other artist collaborations which makes the lineup that much sweeter.

Men’s Vogue x Moncler Ski Jacket Charity






Modeled after the same jacket worn by the French National Ski Team for the 1968 Gernoble Winter Olympics, Moncler and Men’s Vogue have reproduced the jacket to debut through a charity auction. The 220 run jacket is slated for a Barney’s New York exclusive, however five jackets are to be allocated to eBay with proceeds from the jacket sales being donated to Donors Choose. Donors Choose is an initiative which allows teachers around the US to submit project ideas for funding in hopes of further advancing the education and learning system. Over the last eight years, over $20 million USD have been spread over 45,000 different projects around the United States. The royal-blue Austin Down Ski Jacket offers a slimmed down profile with just the right amount of down stuffing to ensure warm and comfortable layer of protection against the elements.
